3+1 tips on using Lifeliqe share feature in the classroom

Share feature in 4 steps Share feature allows you to export Lifeliqe models to PowerPoint or Keynote. We are bringing you tips that will help you to get the most out of it for your classroom.

Lifeliqe has a wide range of features, such as bilingual descriptions or deep zoom scenes, that are helping teachers to engage their students by enhancing their lessons with interactive 3D models. Lifeliqe share feature is another option and it is very easy to use:

  1. Open a selected model and hit the share button.
  2. In the menu that opens on the right, click on Screenshot button. Alternatively, if you want a screenshot with a transparent background you can choose this option. For Windows users, there is also the opportunity to export the image as a coloring sheet.
  3. If you wish, you can export more than one picture at once. Display the model in a needed angle and hit the Screenshot button as many times as you want.
  4. Once you have all the desired screenshots, click on PowerPoint or Keynote button. The operation system of your computer or tablet will open the screenshot in the selected program or app.
The screenshots you exported to your PowerPoint or Keynote slides work as links for the Lifeliqe app. Just switch to the “Slideshow” or “Reading view” mode, after you’re done with editing, to make the links work.

Tips on how to use share feature in the classroom

1. Enrich your existing instructional materials

You don’t need to build the whole resource from scratch. Just exchange non-interactive images or links to online videos with screenshots of Lifeliqe models and use them as links to the app. Every time you open your document in presentation mode, the image will convert into a link that leads to Lifeliqe.

Once you click on the image, it will open the model in the selected angle right in the app so you can start explaining all the things from the desired angle and then move to other perspectives.

Screenshots as links

Use the screenshot images as links to Lifeliqe

2. Use Lifeliqe share feature to assign tasks to your students

How to make sure your students know all the parts of a somatic cell? Take a screenshot of Somatic cell model and share it with your students. Assign them to describe all the parts they see.

Also, you can list all the descriptions into the slide and ask students to match the parts with their names.

List the descriptions

Another option is to prepare slides with different screenshots you can hand out to your students. Get the use of the fact that the screenshot works as a link and lead students to the desired part of the app. This way they can easily prepare reports.

3. Use Lifeliqe to prepare your own instructional materials

You can export the models that fit the material you are currently covering with your students. Is the next Monday’s topic Electronegativity and bonds? You can always use our lesson plan that is ready to be used in the class.

If you prefer your own learning materials, you can easily add Lifeliqe models into your documents.

Extra tip for students: Create reports and researchers with Lifeliqe

Were you assigned to present to your classmates how water circulation works? Open the Water cycle model, export the different stages and processes and tell other students in your class the story of water. The image will also work as a link leading you back to the model in our app so you can get easily to the described model.
